Additional Program Details:
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Early Head Start Program is a unique child-and-family-centered program that enhances the social competence, growth and development of children from birth to age three and gives low-income pregnant women and families the skills they need to become self-sufficient. Program staff work with families to develop step-by-step plans to achieve goals and utilize a variety of home- and community-based support services in the areas of health and wellness, child development, social services, job readiness and parenting skills. Eligible families are offered center or home based enrollment options.
Families may call the Early Head Start Program at (215) 590-7270 to find out if they are eligible.
Founded in 1855 as the nation's first pediatric hospital, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is ranked today as the best pediatric hospital in the nation by a comprehensive Child magazine survey. Its pediatric research program is among the largest in the country, ranking second in National Institutes of Health funding.
