10.1 Scenarios From the Home Visiting Frontline; What to Say, How to Say It, and Why to Say It! And Then How to Breathe Through ItPresenter: Lorrie Delp Title: Behavior Guidance Specialist Organization: Capital Area Head Start Co-Presenter: CarriAnne Goodhart, Behavior Guidance Specialist, Capital Area Head Start Workshop Description
In this workshop we will discuss those situations where parents are asking for activities and practices that may not be at the child’s level. There will be ideas on how we can share developmentally appropriate information while still acknowledging the parent’s input and ideas. These scenarios will be coming out of what we hear our home visitors saying and geared to ages 0-3. And since that can be stress inducing for us, there will be some helpful mindfulness practices shared throughout. |
